iPhone Griffin Graphite Case Review

front
Well today I will be reviewing the Griffin Élan Form Graphite iPhone Case. This case is made up of Synthetic outer shell which looks a lot like carbon fiber. One of the best points of this case is it is made up of a Shatter-proof polycarbonate inner shell and has the Griffin EasyDock implemented into the design which means there is no need to take whole the case off when you want to dock your iPhone.

I decided to make this review because we all know there are thousands of iPhone cases and it can be so difficult to choose the right one. I will comment on the main features of this product and at the end give my conclusion.

Price

Lets start of with the price this case will cost around £20-25 and it can be brought from here: Griffin Elan Form Graphite
Just to let you know you can find it elsewhere cheaper but you may have to look around as a special bonus I have provided you with a link:

Style / Design

In my opinion this case is Definitely worth it as It has a very professional and stylish look to it but the most important thing is it is very protective. For instance the case has a slight lip(a barrier) on the front of the screen which allows the phone to placed faced down without the screen touching the table etc. The lip has a very beautiful chrome edge which runs along the whole front end of the phone. However after some usage it does begin to come off but it is expected.
One thing I like about this case is that Griffin have allowed quite a bit of space around the buttons on the phone. Each button is very easily easily accessible and to finish it off each little area has its own chrome surrounding. Also the camera has quite a nice big hole which means there wont be any limitations when taking a picture unlike some other cases.
back
Whilst I have been using this a few of my colleges have thought it was a real carbon fiber case due to the pattern its fair to say it catches people’s eye. One thing I like about this case is the fact it doesn’t add to much bulk to the phone itself.
You can tell Griffin have thought about the design of this case as on the inside of the case there is a matte texture which is very soft and it wont scratch the iPhone compared to some other brands which leave the plastic intact.
Inside
The case actually splits towards the lower end allowing easy access for when docking the iPhone and during the time I have used this case it has never once come off in my pocket.
Last but not least the iPhone slides into the top end of the case very nicely it has a very snug fit. Like every case out there you will need to do some regular cleaning mainly on the inside of the case, as it does tend to accumulate quite a bit of dust so please make sure you use your microfiber cloth.
Conclusion

Advantages:

  1. Cheap
  2. Very attractive
  3. Easily dockable
  4. Protective
  5. Lightweight and its not to big

Disadvantages:

  1. Quality of the chrome lip does fade after some time
  2. Inside of the case can get dirty fairly quickly
  3. Can be unusable when your hands are wet.
  4. No screen protector or microfiber cloth

I think this is a fantastic case its very cheap but it look so good and the most important thing is it is very protective. I have dropped my iPhone a few times on my wooden floor and outside and the phone is fine every time, the most the case suffered was a few minor cosmetic injuries. One thing that may put people off is the fact that the case can be unbearable if you have wet or sweaty hands once or twice my phone has slipped because of this. Had Griffin added more in the box e.g. a screen protector or a microfiber cloth i would have probably given it a better rating however they didn’t so overall I rate this phone case 7.5/10
